Overview
In this project, I have chosen to work with John Donne's poem "Holy Sonnets X" (or "Death Be Not Proud") as a starting point. The poems in "Holy Sonnets" often explore grand themes such as the power of death and the spiritual life, which inspired my design process.

Result
The final design incorporates several visual elements: A typographic analysis of the poem shaped as the silhouette of a scythe, a symbol of death and transformation in Western culture. Textured backgrounds enhance a sense of wear and the passage of time, creating a subtle contrast to the poem’s traditional and sophisticated theme. This project is a fusion of classical and modern design elements, resulting in a visually engaging and conceptually refined interpretation of Donne’s poem.
